Steps to install Epson L355 on Ubuntu 18.04

If you use the printer wizard without installing the drivers before, the printer will not work. You will need to install drivers first.

Step 1: Download and install the driver

First download the drivers from:

http://download.ebz.epson.net/dsc/op/stable/debian/dists/lsb3.2/main/binary-i386/epson-inkjet-printer-201207w_1.0.0-1lsb3.2_i386.deb

http://download.ebz.epson.net/dsc/op/stable/debian/dists/lsb3.2/main/binary-amd64/epson-inkjet-printer-201207w_1.0.0-1lsb3.2_amd64.deb

install it using:

dpkg -i epson-inkjet-printer-201207w_1.0.0-1lsb3.2_amd64.deb

Once you have installed the drivers, use the print wizard to add the printer.

Step 2: Use the printer wizard to install the printer

Open the Activities at the top left corner of your screen and select overview and start typing Printers. Click Printers from the overview display Click the Unlock button in the top-right corner and enter your password to authenticate.. Only administrators on the Ubuntu machine can add printers. If you’re not an administrator, please contact one. Click the + button. In the pop-up window, select your new printer. Click Add.
